Throughout the summer the team cut and thinned two kilometers of trail as well as constructed bat houses (see picture below) that were used because of the bats insect eating habits that helped with beautification of the trail. They also had three successful "Environmental Awareness Days" whereby approximately 65 people of all ages were reached about the importance of protecting the environment and it's inhabitants. The team also researched information on some of the many species of plants and trees found along the trail, finding specific information about each.
